Choosing the best braces for you or your child depends on things like personal preferences, budget, and lifestyle. Today there are more orthodontic options than ever, with everything from traditional braces to invisible systems that no one will know you’re wearing.

The first step in identify the best braces treatment and estimating the costs involved is to select the type of orthodontia you prefer to wear. Our office offers the following types of treatment:

Traditional Braces

Conventional braces are usually considered to be the most economic choice when it comes to orthodontic treatment. Typical therapy requires between 12-18 months from start to finish.

Ceramic Braces

Enjoy a subtler alternative to basic braces by selecting tooth-coloured appliances. For just a little more than the cost of metal braces, ceramic appliances straighten your teeth in the same timeframe.

Lingual Braces

Invisible braces are real; at least when you hide them behind your teeth! Lingual braces are bonded to the tongue-side surface instead of the ones facing your lips and cheeks. They do cost a little more than traditional braces since each of the brackets is customised to the patient.

Damon Braces

For just a little more than the cost of braces, Damon orthodontic systems offer a reduced tension alternative that’s a bit gentler on teeth. These self-ligating braces allow the archwire to float underneath the trap-door bracket for improved comfort. Treatment is about the same as traditional braces.

Invisalign and ClearCorrect Braces

Removable, transparent aligners move your teeth with slight pressure throughout your smile. Just change them out every two weeks to keep your teeth moving into the desired alignment. Invisalign prices have significantly decreased over the past several years. Some cases can be completed in as few as 3-6 months.

Invisalign and ClearCorrect Braces

This removable orthodontic appliance moves teeth without any wires or aligners. Instead, a special device fits over the upper and lower teeth to facilitate a healthy bite pattern. Some Inman Aligner treatments can be completed in just three months.

How Much do Braces Cost?

The cost of braces is often dependent upon the length of treatment. However, some styles of orthodontic appliances do cost a little more or less than others. For example, lingual braces are customised to the individual, requiring a slightly higher fee than conventional orthodontics.

For a customised quote, it’s recommended to see our dentist for a one-on-one evaluation. From there we’ll know how long the treatment will take, which is the primary factor impacting pricing. At that point, we can contrast the different types of braces and pricing to help you identify the one that best fits your budget.
